I watched the extended cut on bluray. It's a very Seth MacFarlane comedy and while his voice might be over-saturated on television now, it's pretty fresh in film comedy, making a nice break from all the Judd Apatow school of improvisation. Ted is wonderfully realised. And the playing up the 50's children's christmas miracle movie tropes are beautifully aped. Some great out of left field moments. Giovanni Ribisi is amazing!!!

An enjoyable drama in a revenge thriller wrapping. It didn't blow me away but it was well put together and I enjoyed the performances. It lacks a real emotional bang to go with the action at the end but there is pathos and I cared enough about the two leads to want to see them get out. Good stuff.
