Late Phases

IMDB
First time viewed: Yes
Current Release: Yes

Just the other day I was talking about having a horror movie with the elderly as the protagonists and sure enough along comes a werewolf movie set in a retirement village.

It's a different take for the werewolf, which is typically used to symbolise the transition from child to adult. Nick Damici does a good job anchoring the film as the blind veteran protagonist.

There's some interesting things in this one. The attacks can be pretty brutal but I thought some of the make up jobs were a little odd, particularly the werewolf designs.

But it proved to me that there's plenty of potential for horror and the elderly.
