After months of waiting Perth finally gets this film released on the big screen, albeit for a very limited run at an outdoor cinema.
Joss Whedon does low budget Shakespeare with friends at his house, a palette cleanser from working with Marvel. It's absolutely delightful and genuinely hilarious. There's something about this that just feels accessible. Could be my fondness for many of the actors involved. There's some great physical comedy and sight gags. The addition of a speechless prologue is interesting. And the use of the location is inventive too.
Despite the downpour of rain at the screening, it was a very enjoyable experience.
